Why bamboo

Why we chose bamboo

We wanted bedding that felt truly luxurious, but was also gentle on sensitive skin and better for the planet. We found it in bamboo: a fibre that’s silky soft, naturally breathable and smooth against the skin.

We spent years perfecting our bedding: a 300 thread count sateen weave, extra-deep 40cm fitted sheets for modern mattresses, and a palette of colours inspired by nature, from moonlit skies and the open sea to the Welsh coast we call home.

From Pembrokeshire

A small family business

GF is run by a small family team in Pembroke Dock, Pembrokeshire. Every order is packed by us, and for every purchase we plant a tree through the JUST ONE Tree reforestation programme.

Our company, Golden Fleece Online Ltd, takes its name from the treasured golden fleece of Greek legend. Today our bedding is sold under our trademarked GF brand.

For every GF order, we plant a tree through JUST ONE Tree, a non-profit founded in 2019 that plants trees and restores ocean habitats in countries including Kenya, Madagascar, Mozambique, Nepal, Brazil and Indonesia.

It's our small way of giving back to the natural world that gives us bamboo.
